I feel lighter!

This is the most common thing I hear after a tapping session. EFT Tapping therapy is an incredible tool to help you feel calmer, think clearer and start trusting yourself again.

For the overthinkers, the people-pleasers, the worriers and the people who want to spend less time in therapy and more time living a life that feels fun and light again.

You can't control everything life throws at you.

But you can change how you respond when it does.

Is your brain keeping you up at night?

On the outside, you might look like you've got your shit together.

You're getting on with life, showing up for work, looking after other people, making plans and doing all the things you're supposed to do.

But inside? It's a different story.

Your brain won't shut up. You're questioning decisions you've already made. You feel guilty saying no, find it difficult to switch off and sometimes wonder why the smallest things seem to affect you so much.

Perhaps you're going through a big change (perimenopause, career change, building a business, just had a kid), struggling with your confidence, or you've reached a point where you're thinking, surely life shouldn't feel this hard?

Or maybe things are generally pretty good, but there are patterns, habits and reactions you'd quite like to understand and change.

Whatever has brought you here, I'm glad you've found me.

I'm Rachael Welford, an EFT practitioner and coach, and I help people understand what's going on beneath the surface, work through the emotions and beliefs that are getting in their way, and build a better relationship with themselves.

Because learning to trust yourself can change an awful lot.

Sound Familiar?

People come to me for all sorts of reasons. Sometimes they know exactly what they'd like to work on, and sometimes they just know something needs to change.

You might recognise yourself in a few of these…

Your brain has 47 tabs open at all times!

You're thinking about tomorrow, replaying yesterday, worrying about something you said three weeks ago and mentally writing a shopping list, all while trying to watch the telly.

You'd quite like a bit of peace and quiet in your own head.

You're brilliant at looking after everyone else

You're the reliable one. The capable one. The one people turn to when something needs sorting.

But constantly meeting everyone else's needs means yours often end up at the bottom of the list.

And when you finally get five minutes to yourself, you feel guilty for taking them.

You second-guess yourself constantly

You make a decision, then question it. You ask someone else's opinion, then another person's, just to be sure.

You know you're capable, but trusting your own judgement can feel surprisingly difficult.

Your emotions like to take you by surprise

Perhaps you get upset over something seemingly small, feel more anxious than you'd like, or find yourself reacting to situations in ways you don't quite understand.

You might hold everything in until it all comes spilling out.

And afterwards, you wonder where the hell that came from.

You're navigating change and questioning who you are

A relationship ending, a career change, a health challenge, becoming a parent, choosing not to become one, or simply reaching a stage in life when the things you once wanted no longer feel quite right. Even changes you've chosen can bring up all sorts of unexpected emotions.

You've spent years feeling somehow different

Maybe you're exploring whether you have ADHD or another neurodivergent condition, or you're still waiting for an assessment.

You've spent years wondering why certain things seem so easy for other people and so bloody difficult for you.

And all those years of questioning yourself have taken their toll.

You don't need to tick every box. And you certainly don't need to wait until life feels unbearable to get support. That's what I'm here for.

How does EFT Tapping work?

EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques, although most people simply call it tapping.

It combines elements of psychological therapy, like bringing attention to difficult thoughts or feelings, with gentle tapping on specific acupressure points around the face and upper body.

I know it sounds a bit quirky or unusual at first. Trust me, I thought so too! But EFT is a structured technique that can help you reduce emotional distress and work through difficult life experiences.

And while tapping is part of the process, there's a lot happening in the conversation around it too. We look at what you're feeling, what might be triggering those feelings, the experiences that have shaped your beliefs, and how those beliefs may be affecting your life now.

Sometimes it's about something happening today. Sometimes we discover a pattern that's been hanging around for years.

We work at your pace, exploring what feels relevant and using tapping to help you process the emotions that come up.

There is growing research into EFT, particularly for stress and anxiety, although the evidence is still developing and results vary from person to person.

You don't have to understand all the research or even be convinced it'll work before you try it.

A healthy bit of scepticism is absolutely welcome and what's unique about tapping is you don't even have to talk about your problems if you don't want to. Book a call, and I'll show you how it works.

What can EFT tapping help you with?

There's no one-size-fits-all reason to come for EFT, but these are some of the things we can explore together.

Stress, anxiety and overwhelm

When everyday demands feel like too much, or your mind seems to be constantly anticipating the next problem.

Confidence and self-trust

When you struggle to make decisions, worry about what other people think or doubt your own capabilities.

People-pleasing and boundaries

When saying no feels uncomfortable, disappointing someone feels unbearable or your own needs keep coming last.

Emotional triggers and difficult experiences

When certain situations bring up stronger feelings than you'd expect, or experiences from your past seem to be affecting how you feel today.

Self-criticism and limiting beliefs

When that little voice in your head is constantly telling you you're not good enough, haven't done enough or should be doing better.

Change, uncertainty and identity

When you're navigating a new chapter and would like to feel more confident about who you are and where you're going.

The emotional impact of neurodivergence

When you're dealing with frustration, shame, self-doubt or years of feeling misunderstood. EFT isn't a treatment for ADHD or other neurodevelopmental conditions, but we can work on some of the feelings and experiences that come alongside them.

Imagine having a different relationship with yourself

Imagine being able to make a decision without consulting half your WhatsApp contacts first.

Saying no without spending the next three hours feeling guilty.

Noticing when you're becoming overwhelmed and knowing what you can do about it.

Feeling upset or anxious without immediately judging yourself for having those feelings.

Understanding why certain situations affect you so deeply, rather than simply getting frustrated with yourself.

And perhaps most importantly, feeling more comfortable being who you are, even when life isn't going quite to plan.

These are some of the changes we can work towards through EFT and coaching.

I can't promise you'll never overthink again, get upset or have a difficult day. I'm not sure any of us would survive that promise!

But we can work on how you understand yourself, how you respond to life's challenges and how much trust you place in your own judgement.

Why work with me?

I'm not someone who believes life's challenges can all be solved by thinking positively or repeating a few affirmations in the mirror.

I've had my own experiences of anxiety, depression, difficult life changes and having to question everything I thought I knew about myself.

And I've experienced how powerful it can be to understand the patterns we've developed, work through difficult emotions and begin making choices from a place of greater self-trust.

Alongside my own experiences, I've spent years working with individuals and teams, helping people navigate pressure, confidence, emotional challenges and change.

My approach combines EFT, coaching, curiosity, humour and a willingness to ask the questions we sometimes avoid asking ourselves.

I'll listen, I'll challenge you when it's useful, and I'll encourage you to get curious about yourself rather than giving yourself another bollocking for being human.

You can bring all of yourself to our sessions. The confident bits, the messy bits, the parts you like and the parts you're still figuring out.

We can work with all of it.

EFT Sessions & Pricing

For A Life You Love

Working through old patterns, difficult emotions and long-held beliefs can take time, so I like to give us the opportunity to get properly stuck in rather than rushing through everything in a single session.

1:1 EFT Tapping Sessions | £175 per session

We begin with a minimum commitment of four weekly sessions, giving us time to understand what's going on, explore the things you'd like to work through and start making changes.

After those first four sessions, we can decide together what feels most useful for you.

Some people prefer to continue weekly, while others move to fortnightly sessions or a monthly retainer for ongoing support.

Concessionary EFT Clinic | £80 per hour

I also offer a limited number of concessionary appointments for people who may not be in a position to pay my standard session fee.

These are subject to availability, so please get in touch to find out more and whether I currently have capacity to take on new concessionary clients.

Your sessions are yours. We'll agree on a regular day and time that works for both of us, so you've got that dedicated appointment in the diary rather than having to find a new slot each time.

Ready to get started?

Whether you know exactly what you'd like to work on or you're still figuring it out, get in touch and we can discuss whether EFT is right for you.

A few questions you might have

Do I need to know anything about EFT before we start?

Absolutely not. I'll explain what we're doing and guide you through the process. You don't need any experience of tapping, meditation or anything similar.

What if I don't know why I'm feeling the way I do?

That's completely fine. Lots of people come to me knowing something feels off but struggling to explain exactly what it is. We can start with what you're experiencing right now and work from there.

Will I have to talk about difficult things from my past?

Not necessarily. Sometimes past experiences are relevant, but we don't go digging around for the sake of it. We'll work collaboratively and at a pace that feels manageable for you.

Is EFT suitable if I have ADHD or think I might be neurodivergent?

We can use EFT to explore things such as anxiety, frustration, self-criticism and difficult emotions associated with your experiences. However, EFT doesn't diagnose or treat ADHD, and it doesn't replace a formal assessment or appropriate medical support.

How many sessions will I need?

That depends on what you'd like to work on, your circumstances and how you respond. We can discuss the options and what sort of support might suit you when we first speak.

Is EFT a replacement for medical treatment?

No. EFT can be used as a complementary approach, but it shouldn't replace appropriate mental healthcare, medication or medical treatment. If something is outside my professional scope, we'll discuss getting the right additional support.

You spend a lot of your life in your own head.
